More than half of the cases belong to the category of testicular azoospermia, and these are usually not treatable. However, pre-testicular azoospermia can be treated using hormones, and post-testicular azoospermia can be treated by surgically extracting sperm from the testicle and using them to fertilize eggs in IVF procedures.
